Covid, Social Justice, and Philanthropy POV’s

COVID, SOCIAL JUSTICE, AND PHILANTHROPY POV’S - RSVP FOR INVITATION
@ The Unexpected Table on Zoom

The world of philanthropy was already flummoxed by ‘what to do’ as Covid-19 threatened the resources of non-profits large and small around the US (should we throw as much money as possible at survival and helping in the crisis? Or take a more measured approach to looking at the big picture and what the future will need?). Then George Floyd was murdered and the questions got more dire and more urgent. Now we have a new—potentially game changing—presidential/VP candidate duo. If you are between 17-21, The Unexpected Table invites you to a conversation on the future.

We will explore questions which include:

  • What is the role of philanthropy in this moment in history? What should the priorities be?

  • How do you want to see the dual urgencies of health and social justice addressed?

  • What do you think the most pressing issue of our time is?

  • What actions do you want to lead, be part of, or wish for?

This is an opportunity to exercise your voice, share your thinking with leaders in the world of philanthropy, and meet with peers who care deeply about these topics. We will meet on Zoom, August 22, 2:30PM, EST and be joined by leaders in the world of philanthropy. Please RSVP here. You will receive a link the day before our conversation.
